Claire weaves together her expertise as a movement artist, teacher, insight herbalist, filmmaker, anthropologist and author to create work that dissolves the boundaries between human and the more-than-human world.
Since 2018, Claire has been immersed in a profound artistic dialogue with Hackney Marshes, collaborating with filmmaker Dominique Rivoal to document her movement practice as it responds to the shifting seasons of this urban wilderness. This long-term project culminated in 2024 with “We are plants, we are grass, we are Hackney Marshes“—a four-screen installation with 3D soundscape that invites viewers to experience the marsh’s living ecosystem through an embodied perspective.
She is the author of How to Be Feral: Movement Practices to Re-Wild Your Body, through which she guides others in rediscovering their innate connection to the natural world and their own embodied wisdom.
A graduate of the School of Intuitive Herbalism, Claire’s practice is also deeply informed by her intimate knowledge of plants and fungi, and her sensitivity to the subtle ecological relationships that shape landscapes.
As an anthropologist and filmmaker, she deeply engages with the biases of our embodied perspectives, using her work to explore and transcend these limits, opening pathways to a broader understanding of the human experience.
All her group and 1-1 sessions draw from this rich tapestry of experience. In this way, Claire helps individuals deepen their connection to the living landscapes around them, cultivating both body awareness and a profound understanding of the plants and ecosystems they interact with.
