Plant mentoring
I’d love to guide you on your journey through the world of intuitive herbalism, a world I discovered through my own personal connection with plants. As a graduate of the School of Intuitive Herbalism, I now mentor students on their path, helping them deepen their relationship with plants in a way that is personal, embodied, and intuitive.
My own journey began with a deep curiosity about plants and their wisdom. Over time, I developed a practice of moving outdoors that allowed me to communicate with plants, not only intellectually but through the senses and the body. Working with plants has helped me rediscover my wild, instinctive self, much like how movement reconnects us with our inner rhythms and the natural world. The plants have become my companions, my teachers, dear friends.
Re-wilding Ourselves
A core aspect of my mentoring approach is the process of rewilding ourselves. I’m passionate about challenging the human-centred perspective that often dominates how we relate to the world. My work, including my book How to be feral: movement practices to re-wild your body, is dedicated to exploring how we can break free from these limiting views and open ourselves to a more ecological, reciprocal relationship with nature. My personal journey with plants has profoundly influenced this commitment, teaching me that the natural world is a vibrant, living entity with its own intelligence, deserving of deep respect and reverence.
As a mentor, I bring this ethos into my guidance. I encourage my students to explore plant communication beyond intellectual understanding and to experience plants as sentient beings with their own wisdom. Rewilding is not just about learning from plants, but also about unlearning harmful patterns and beliefs that separate us from the natural world. This process allows for a deeper, more harmonious connection to the earth, one rooted in respect, reciprocity, and mutual understanding.
Developing your own pathway
As an experienced educator and mentor, I support students in finding their own unique pathways to plant communication. I provide guidance on the online course at the School of Intuitive Herbalism, offering practical tips and encouraging them to explore their intuition and embodied relationship with nature. We will work together to find the most meaningful way for you to connect with the plants (which is different for everyone), creating space for you to grow in your own way.
I offer support with the course material by guiding students through key concepts such as The Triskele and The three Cauldrons and helping them integrate the teachings into their personal practice. We deepen this work through experiential plant meetings, where we engage directly with the plants, allowing students to embody the knowledge and wisdom they’ve gained from the course. These practical sessions are designed to complement the online material, making the learning process more holistic and meaningful.
I can also support you to connect more deeply with plants by going on a committed plant journey of at least 21 days.
