This is a year-long programme of outdoor movement throughout the seasons in the heart of Hackney Marshes with a closed group.

Meeting once a month with the same group of people, you’ll be invited to step outdoors and reconnect with your body and the land. Here, in the heart of the city, we’ll discover there is no contradiction in connecting deeply to the land—urban life and wildness coexist, shaping their own ecology.

Through intuitive movement and mindful exploration, we’ll rediscover our feral nature and reawaken a deep connection to the natural rhythms that modern life often pulls us away from. As we move with the changing seasons and adapt to the ever-shifting weather, we’ll learn to attune to the subtler cycles of nature—the quiet transformations that often go unnoticed when we remain in our human mode of function. Whether it’s the awakening vitality of spring, the expansive warmth of summer, the grounding stillness of autumn, or the quiet introspection of winter, we’ll deepen our ability to move in dialogue with the land and its rhythms.

By attuning to these shifting energies, you’ll cultivate a profound relationship with the wild around and within you, discovering how the cycles of the natural world mirror and inspire your inner rhythms. This journey is for anyone longing to feel more connected to the land and their own embodied presence.

Structure of the year

    • 12 monthly sessions

10 sessions of those sessions will each last 1.5 and 2 hours depending on the weather.

    • 2 full days in September and in May

Each full day will start indoors for some movement practice to prepare us for the outdoor movement. The rest of the day. The first full day is to prepare everyone for the year of practice ahead and the May full day is to have time to deepen the practice.

    • The sessions will run no matter the weather

We will move on the dates decided no matter the weather (rain, wind, snow, heat wave, etc.). It is recommended to wear and bring waterproofs top and bottom and warm layers of clothing underneath during the cold seasons as well as a flask of hot drink and snacks.

    • Returning to he same outdoor spot

We will come back to the same place in the marshes and return to repeatedly, observing how it changes through the weather and the  seasons. That repetition and process of returning will allow a process of noticing the land and your own relationship to it over time.

    • One free 1:1 session

You may book this at any point to support your process or to catch up on any missed session. Further sessions are available at £20 until the end of the programme.

Accessibility

If you have any access needs—physical, sensory, or otherwise—please check with me beforehand to see if we can accommodate them within the mentorship. The work is flexible, and practices can be adapted to suit different abilities, but it’s best to discuss your needs in advance so we can find practical solutions.

How to register

    1. Send me an email to express your interest.
    2. Fill in a short registration form outlining your intention and sharing your availability. This helps me set up an initial poll — these are not the final dates. You’ll have the chance to choose again once the poll is shared with everyone who has paid a deposit between 15 and 31 July
    3. If you’ve never worked with me before, please check with me first to see if this mentorship is suitable for you.
    4. Pay a non-refundable deposit of £100 or the full amount before 15 July 2026.
    5. The full balance must be paid by the start date in September 2026.

Those who have confirmed their place by paying a deposit will then be invited to complete a poll to finalise session dates by 31 July 2026. After that, joining is still possible until the start date in September, provided you can attend all agreed sessions.

This is a closed group so there will be no possibility to be part of it once it has fully started. I also offer regular outdoor movement sessions in Wick wood which can be attended on a drop-in basis.
